SALTY SCIENCE

Four marine scientists rowing across an ocean, for the oceans

2023 Atlantic Challenge

In December 2023, the women of the Salty Science team tackled their biggest challenge yet – rowing 3000 miles unsupported across the Atlantic Ocean. They left La Gomera, off the coast of Africa on December 13, 2023 and arrived in Antigua on January 20, 2024: 38 days, 18 hours and 56 minutes later. They were the fastest women’s team to arrive in Antigua and the winners of the Murden Trophy!
